The Tsunami

The recent tsunami in the Indian Ocean is terrible. When such catastropic events occur, we often ask "why"? How could a loving, just God do this to us? As if we have some sort of brownie points built up with God to use when bad things happen. How about a cosmic "get out of jail free" card? I don't believe it works that way. Terrible things have always happened and will continue to happen until our Maker decides otherwise. It is all part of the grand scheme of things that, as mere mortals, we are not allowed to understand. I can only pray for the victims and be somewhat consoled by the fact it was natural and not terrorism.
