It seems I have made some old friends I haven't seen in 20 or 30 years quite uncomfortable with my admission of addiction to drugs. People I used to party with want to remember me as I was, and not accept how I am now. Why is reality so scary to some?

Which ones are doing that?
Reality is hard for alot of people to grasp. And sometimes they will do anything to avoid...it's why some people take drugs.
