Close Call

A week ago today, my mother went to the doctor. They gave her an EKG and found a heart flutter. She had to go to the hospital for three days. Mom is eighty years old and has numerous other health problems. She is in no shape for an operation, so the doctors are prescribing medicine and rest. I am helping her out even more now with day-to-day stuff like laundry and shopping. Something like this makes me realize I need to focus on helping others besides myself. I don't want to lose her anytime soon, God willing.
