Former President Jimmy Carter was interviewed by Matt Lauer on this morning's Today Show. The ex-pres said the Bush Administration was authorizing torture in secret prisons all over the world and violating the Geneva Convention regarding mistreatment of prisoners of war. What Slick Jimmy didn't bother to mention is that the Geneva Convention only applies to uniformed members of armies of a recognized nation at war with another country. IT DOESN'T APPLY TO TERRORISTS. I shudder to think how Carter would have handled 9/11 had it been on his watch.
