Clean Bill of Health

My older sis Nancy, in her 50's, went to her doctor today. She had a radiation test for lung cancer because of a lingering spot previously thought to be "valley fever", a spore-caused fungal infection of the lungs common in the deserts of Arizona. It can be serious, but usually not life-threatening. I was worried because, even though she feels better than she did a few months ago, you never know until all the results are in. The good news is that no cancer was detected, and doctors think it is valley fever after all. Nancy smokes cigarettes and the family wishes she would quit, but at least all is OK for now.
