Al Whore

This silly opportunistic man is touring the country at 100,000 bucks a pop trying to convince the sheeple that global warming is real. (It's not.) Meanwhile, he is driving gas guzzlers and living in a mansion that uses twenty times the energy of an average American home. We are being sold an expensive bill of goods by a massive hypocrite with a HUGE "carbon footprint." Using computer models cannot forecast what will happen this weekend, much less years from now. I believe we are in a normal period of weather fluctuation which has happened throughout history. We need to worry about REAL EVENTS like terrorism and world hunger.

I had to laugh when global warming opponent Christopher Horner went on the Daily Show to pitch his book, and Jon Stewart said he enjoyed reading his book more than reading the IPCC Environmental Report, since Horner's book just had a bunch of amusing cartoons, and the IPCC Report was filled with boring graphs and data .. clearly Horner has a better handle on the issue ..

Last I read, Al Gore drives a hybrid car, and has a home office with live-in employees, where he pays a bigger bill because its for both a family and a business. What's more, he pays for a more expensive green electric company to consume less energy than he would otherwise .. I'm sure the bill, which is all they are going by, is much bigger than the average home in Tennessee .. especially since most of the people in that state still use gas lanterns and outhouses ..

Yes, I agree, predicting future climate has always been an inexact science .. damn, back in the 70's they were scaring us with a coming ice age .. hopefully the earth's expanding revolution will send us far enough away from the sun and cool us off before we'll need to paddle thru the streets of every coastal city in the world like Venice, Italy ..

Hype about global warming?

You must beware not to fall into that hype against global warming.

See my blog for details.

I do have one point to make, though, if you refuse to believe substantial evidence. If global warming really is happenning, and we do nothing, what is the outcome? Well, coastal cities, Boston, New York, New Orleans (*cough, cough*) flood, and it's obvious how well our government is prepared to deal with that...

But if global warming is just the "hype" you sustain it to be, we still only gain from attempting to not completely destroy or environment.

Or, if you believe that humans are beneficial to the environment in all ways, shapes, and forms...well, I think you should talk to a doctor if you believe that.

Don't jump onto the bandwagon that's shreiking that our environment isn't important. After all, I have to live in it, even if you don't.

I have to agree with Caesium .. although predicting the future is an inexact science, and has often times been proven wrong, the world scientific community is now in agreement on this. Man is contributing to global warming. Al Gore shows some pretty alarming data in his movie, but I'd really like to see it all up close myself, and also see all the details on how that data was attained. Much of the world is beginning to take action on behalf of this threat(with the exception of Karl Rove of course, and you know who) .. Let's hope we can fend it off in time, otherwise, the toddlers around today are going to eventually see a very different world ..
