Not So Noble Nobel

So Al Whore got a Nobel Peace Prize. Whoop-de-freakin'-do! He still is a shameless shill for the lefty green bullshit brigade. Wait until people realize how much all of this will cost if they get their twisted way... Going "green" will go the way of the dinosaur. And we'll still be here!

I love it when people say they are so sure he's wrong when they haven't even heard what he has said .. the character assassination is the dead give-away ..

I am well aware of what Gore has said... and so are many scientists, who now are lining up to debunk many of Gore's more outrageous global warming allegations in the movie "An Inconvenient Truth."

... hmmm .. not sure who those scientists are, but the world scientific community is in agreement with him, and even President Bush has admitted to it (the ultimate limus test). I often get blank faces when I mention what he has said to people who argue against him .. like they weren't aware of the facts .. people against him don't like his politics .. I wish they'd just say that, and not just disagree with everything that comes out of him ..

For me, it has nothing to do with his politics, per se, but his relentless hypocracy in shopping around overblown notions of man-made global warming for personal gain. Gore leads a rich man's lifestyle and buys carbon credits to offset his huge "footprint", something most of us cannot and never will be able to afford. The general consensus is that, yes, global warming is occurring, but how much is our fault is still undetermined. Until we can come up with nonhysterical affordable solutions, and determine how much we can realistically do, this latest green fad will remain just that, a fad.

... well anything is possible .. but to be convinced, I would need to see the data and the numbers to prove him wrong .. all I have ever heard from his critics is character assassination, and no evidence .. I've listened to him talk, and I don't see personal gain as his primary motive. He spends his time on this, and naturally will want to use his time to survive financially like we all do, but his critics need to prove him wrong, and not just put him down personally, if they want to get everyone on board believing them .. until then, it just looks like political competition .. Jon Stewart had a global warming critic on his show who wrote a book .. all it had in it was insulting cartoons .. this guy had an opportunity to publish real proof that global warming was a hoax .. why didn't he produce it? .. Gore has evidence, but his critics only have insults .. why don't they produce any evidence? You'd think they'd want to .. are they having trouble finding any? .. that would seem to indicate who's really right ..

You mentioned that you are well aware of what Gore has said ... ok, how then did they determine carbon dioxide and temperature readings on earth 100's of thousands of years ago? And, do you believe older temperature measuring devices were less accurate? Let's talk some details...

I believe that readings from the distant past are estimates and not necessarily fact. Scientists are constantly revising what went on millions of years ago to fit what we believe happened. Most of it is theory, in my opinion. We are still discovering new species mankind never knew existed. This goes for current as well as past life. The same could well be true for weather data. What I get out of all this is that science is inexact. Always has been and always will be. The truth is determined slowly and methodically over many, many years. To say we know EXACTLY what is happening and will happen to such a complex organism such as Earth is foolhardy and jumping the gun. Take measures, yes. But slowly...

Al Gore happens to be the main spokesperson for the global warming movement so he gets most of the attention(and the subsequent criticism). Remember, 30 years ago the top scientists of the day thought we were headed quickly for an ice age. What if we knee-jerk into costly solutions only to find out 30 years from now advanced technology says we were wrong? Reliance on computer programs is only as good as the day the data is studied.
