OK. I'm going to admit it. The Bush Administration has not been the success in dealing with the world I thought it would be. We have not been attacked on U.S. soil since 9/11, I'll give 'em that. I think this country is doing pretty well keeping the terrorists at bay. For now. There is still much we could do security-wise. Our ports
really need to be secured. Airports still let all kind of items (and people) though security. Our borders leak illegals in like a sieve. Democracy is not busting out all over. The world doesn't hate us so much anymore, not because of anything Bush has done, but because China, Russia, India, et al, are too busy growing by leaps and bounds and sucking up food, oil, and other energy and resources. America had better wise up to this world reality, and fast. This is more pressing than "global warming." Most foreigners, I believe, like our people. They just don't like our government. Unfortunately, despite what the neocons preached the last eight years, it is much more complicated than "you are either with us or against us." I see that now.
