Blogger Ethics?

A recent news story posed the question: "Do bloggers need a code of ethics?" Yeah, right. Most of us are probably not professional journalists; if I want to write "Michael Jackson is a sleazy baby raper", or that McDonald's french fries are way yummier with all their deadly trans fats, then so be it. Lighten up, for Christ's sake.
