Friends

I have become reaquainted with an old friend from a job I had in the late 90's. Her name is Sandra and we have a lot in common. I lost touch with her for years after I left the place and recently ran into her at a mall. This is fate as far as I'm concerned. I live in a big spread out metropolitan area that is growing fast. There are almost 4 million here already. The chances of running into her at this particular time and place were relatively remote. And now she's back in my life at a time I really could use a friend. This is going to be a big help in my recovery from drugs. Sandra doesn't use them; in fact she is recently divorced from an alcoholic/addict, so she understands what is going on with me and wants to help. We both like music and movies and other fun stuff. Life is getting to be interesting again... I have been in a funk since Angie left. I'm getting to be friends again with her, too. We have too much of a history to never talk to each other anymore.

Thanks for stopping by. It's awesome to run into old friends. Sometimes it's just what you need.

I'm with you there, things happen for a reason. As one who has lost touch with a number of people, it's always nice when you have a chance to get reacquainted.

Wow, that is a cool twist of fate to have her in your life again. We all need friends. Hopefully it will help you on your way to a better life. It certainly couldn't hurt.
