I am a former radio announcer who got out of the biz in 1997. Today was a milestone of sorts for me... I volunteer at Sun Sounds of Arizona, a reading service for the blind which is transmitted over special radio receivers on a subcarrier. Today I was on the air for the first time in almost eight years. You can hear me over the internet at Sun Sounds.org Wednesdays from 9 A.M. to 1 P.M. MST. (Arizona does not adhere to Daylight Savings Time.)
