It is a no brainer that Vice President Cheney should not have engaged in any talk about possible "waterboarding" that could be misconstrued by the public. That being said, it is also a no brainer that the United States is engaged in coercive techniques that some may consider "torture." I believe our methods are in no way anything like real torture carried out by rogue regimes. If a terror suspect is made uncomfortable by coercion we or our allies use to extract valuable information that could and has saved lives, then so be it.
