Election Results

I'm not happy with the Democratic takeover of the House, but maybe it will be a good thing if both parties can work together to continue the strong defense of the country. Otherwise, it could be a logjam and nothing will get done.

Oh I'm sure the defense of our country is in everyone's interest, but it will be nice to be able to focus on that, and that specifically now, with some new people who aren't lusting for war profits as a priority ..

And now that Rumsfeld is gone, maybe some progress can be made straightening out the situation in Iraq .. and with that little sigh of relief heard around the world yesterday from the current administration's religious extremist tyrannical attitude, maybe some of the terror will subside .. and maybe .. just maybe .. Osama Bin Laden will decide to attack Sweden instead of the US, since its freedom alone that makes his blood boil ..

How about this .. lets take Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Riley, Pat Robertson, George Bush, Dick Cheney, and the like, and put them all on a deserted island .. then drop ship all the terrorists there with strap-on bombs, and let them blow the shit out of the ugly Americans that are really pissing them off .. then the world might just be a good place to live in again ..

I don't agree... your attitude is very cynical. Yes, Bush and company have made mistakes. It might be good for the country if the current administration has to listen to a Democratic Congress. That's democracy at work. Checks and balances. It's not a big conspiracy. When things go to far in one direction, the voters bring it back in. As far as Osama, he just might attack Sweden before this is over. But the U.S. is a much bigger target. And haven't you listened to the terrorists themselves? They tell us why they want to attack the West. They don't like our lifestyle. To them, we can't co-exist. It has nothing to do with who is in office. Except, that they would rather have liberals in office who they think will cut and run.

I would need to hear more specifics about the quotes from the terrorists, and then offer an unbias interpretation to believe that .. if indeed they are uncontrolably irked by our lifestyle, then that is their problem .. many people do not like other peoples lifestyles .. I myself have a bit of a problem with Mark Foley's, Rev. Haggard's, and God only knows how many more closet conservatives who are extra creepy ..

As I've mentioned in the past, a few times, the terrorists simply don't have the means to do anything significant to eliminate the ugly Americans (specifically, the arrogant ones who are the ones pissing them off), so I think its a waste of time to fall for the right wing fear-mongering and spent your days so paranoid of petty political pranks ..

I know I've never heard any of the Democrats use the term "cut-and-run" .. its just a political conjuring by the right to try and make them look like cowards, but I do believe they intend to make an intelligent analysis of the situation there, and do what makes sense at this point (particularly the wasteful spending of taxpayer dollars that just winds up in Haliburton's bottom line), rather than the club-them-on-the-head attitude cavemen take, and current Presidents with an equal or lower mentality ..

9-11 proved the terrorists have the capability to cause great harm to this country. You just don't get it...
