I'm now in a Super 8 in Bangor, Maine. Such luxury! Yesterday my brother and I went to Bar Harbor with his friend Bob. We went downtown and had lunch, then drove to the top of Cadillac Mountain. What a view... The coast of Maine is unparalleled for beauty. The only problem, according to my friends here, is that there are no jobs and Mainers are being taxed to death. I went over to my "second family", the Dionnes, last night. It was like a dream to see them again. It seems like I've entered a parallel universe when I see them. So much time has gone by. Today my brother and I are going to our old neighborhood, Boutelle Road in Bangor, to take some pictures and video. Then it's off to Orrington, where I grew up, to see my childhood friend Charlie Haskell. It's great to see old friends again after all these years. I'm kinda starting to miss Arizona and Mom, though.

Hey, did Charlie Haskell have any relatives in Brewer when we were living in Maine? Our next door neighbors on Elmwood St. were the "Haskells" and Larry (nicknamed Ning) and I were friends .. he's about 4 years younger, which would make him about 41 now .. would be a small world if this is true .. now .. now ...
